Justin Timberlake Will Play Gay for Upcoming TV Series
(Popeaters.com) - Justin Timberlake will lend his voice to Fox’s animated ‘The Cleveland Show’ for two different roles. And one of them is a change of pace for the ladies’ man.
MTV News reports reports that Timberlake will voice a gay character named Paul, the love interest of Terry (voiced by ‘Saturday Night Live”s Jason Sudeikis), and a musical booger named — what else — Booger. (Yes, an actual booger owned by Cleveland’s stepson Rallo).
Of course, Timberlake has never been shy about getting laughs, especially on his legendary ‘Saturday Night Live’ appearances. He packaged his, uh, package for the Internet hit “D—- in a Box,” danced and crooned in a foam costume for “Omletteville” and donned a leotard for a Beyonce parody. So a singing booger should be no problem. The episode is set to premiere in February 2011.
Timberlake is also keeping up with his film career, voicing Boo-Boo Bear in the upcoming animated ‘Yogi Bear’ feature and playing a major role in ‘The Social Network,’ a dramatization of the creation of Facebook also starring Jesse Eisenberg and directed by David Fincher. He’s also attached to play the son of Job in ‘The Wrath of Job’ — Roseanne would play his mother. That film also has an ‘SNL’ connection — it would feature the welcome return of Don Novello as Father Guido Sarducci. And yes, we are hoping that another ‘SNL’ hosting gig is on the horizon as a way to promote ‘Network.’
And while Timberlake is busy with acting and animation, ‘Cleveland Show’ and ‘Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane is picking up the slack in the music world. According to Variety, MacFarlane is set to release an album of big band tunes — he’ll front a full orchestra — on Universal Republic Records.
