Jessica Simpson to Judge Season Finale on Project Runway!

(UsMagazine.com) - Jessica Simpson will make it work!

Following in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham, Faith Hill and Debra Messing, the singer/designer will be a guest judge for the final round of this season’s Project Runway on Lifetime, UsMagazine.com has confirmed.

A beaming Simpson joined host Heidi Klum, and hard-nosed judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia on the runway in NYC’s Lincoln Center on Thursday for the taping of the season finale’s fashion show.

The star, 30, wore a shimmery Michael Kors frock for the big event. Also on hand at the show: Jordin Sparks, model Tyson Beckford, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, designer Betsey Johnson and Jay Manuel  (America’s Next Top Model).

Simpson debuted her own “Show Me Your Blues” Jeanswear collection on Tuesday with her beau Eric Johnson and sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz lending their support; her brother-in-law Pete Wentz DJ’d.

Tyra Banks’s Comments on Model’s Tiny Waist Cause Controversy

(Yahoo!) - “You have the smallest waist in the world … look at this waist!” Tyra Banks exclaims in a promo for the new season of “America’s Next Top Model,” when presented with a new contestant with an unusually miniscule midsection. Now those comments are causing some critics to call Banks, known for being a champion of healthy body sizes, a big fat hypocrite.

 In the promo, which was clearly edited, Tyra’s comments are followed by photo shoot director Jay Manual joking that the model would inspire “Top Model” judge J. Alexander (aka “Miss J”) to “eat Tic Tacs and watercress for the rest of the season.” To some who have seen Tyra stand up for all healthy bodies and discourage the use of the word “diet” on the

show over the years, the promo seems hypocritical.

“I think that Tyra praising her skeletal look kind of sends a confusing message,” says CNN’s “Showbiz Tonight” host Brooke Anderson in a fast-paced debate today. She asks her two guests to weigh in: “Is Tyra Banks a hypocrite?”

Halle Berry Breaks Silence About Her Split From Gabriel Aubry

(Us Magazine) - Back in the spring, fans were shocked to hear that Halle Berry had parted ways with Gabriel Aubry, her model beau of nearly four years and dad to her daughter Nahla, 2.

But the lovers in question weren’t blindsided at all. “Gabriel and I had long dealt with it,” Berry, 43, says of their breakup in the new issue of Vogue. “We were done. And we were on a good foot, and we had decided what we were going to do for Nahla, and we were able to say, ‘This will pass.’

The Oscar-winning actress claims there is “no discord” and “no fighting” with Aubry, 34. These days, she says, “we are back to how it was before: living apart, raising our daughter.”

“You realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody,” she explains of their failed romance. “We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore.” Indeed, the trio has been spotted out and about at Disneyland and elsewhere months after Berry and Aubry’s split.

Berry adds that she and Aubry are “still friends, we love each other very much, and we both share the love of our lives. And we are both 100 percent committed to being the best parents we can be. And while it was not a love connection for us, he was absolutely the right person to have this child with because she is going to have an amazing father.”

“I’m not done with love, but I refuse to settle,” twice-divorced Berry declares. “I am a hopeless romantic. And I won’t stop till I get it right.”

She also says she loves being a mom in her 40s. “I’m actually lucky and grateful that I waited until an age when I can really be present. I saw my mother in her early 20s having two little kids, and I don’t think she enjoyed me at two the way that I enjoy my daughter.”

“Nature has got it all wrong,” she muses. “When you are younger, it should be harder to get pregnant, and as you get older it should be easier. When you are so ready, you can’t do it to save your life. And when you are 21, you are so not ready, but you are ripe as could be.”
